Functions

Originally identified in the cerebrospinal fluid of sleep-deprived cats acting as an inducer of physiological sleep in animals. Displays agonist activity at cannabinoid CB1 receptors (Ki=8.13 µM). Activates PPARγ. Produces vasodilator effects in rats. Displays neuroprotective effects and attenuates sepsis-induced intestinal injury.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
