Functions
A mitochondria-targeted antioxidant. Displays cardio- and neuroprotective effects. Displays beneficial effects in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. Protects pancreatic β-cells against oxidative stress and improves insulin secretion. Cell permeable.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 70 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 30 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
