GSK-3β inhibitor

 

Functions

A potent and selective inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK-3β) IC50=53 nM which induces neuronal differentiation. Activates the Wnt-β-catenin signaling pathway and attenuates tissue plasminogen activator-induced hemorrhagic transformation after acute ischemic stroke in animal models. Promoted hair follicle growth in vitro and antagonized the inhibition of hair follicles by dihydrotestosterone. Down-regulates Sox9 expression in limbal epithelial stem/progenitor cells leading to increased differentiation.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
