Applications

TGFβ receptor inhibitor

 

Functions

Potent inhibitor of TGF-β receptor kinases ALK4, ALK5 (IC50=18 nM), ALK7, and TGFβRII, but not BMP type II receptor kinase. Blocks TGF-β-mediated signaling, including collagen type I and VEGF, in turn reducing fibrosis and angiogenesis in various mouse models. GW788388 attenuates TGF-β-induced epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) in human peritoneal mesothelial cells.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
