Functions
Dietary enrichment of eicosapentaenoic acid may have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the 5-lipoxygenase pathway and LTB4-mediated neutrophil functions. Displays various cardiovascular protective properties.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 100 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. After opening, EPA must be stored under inert gas at -80°C. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol should also be stored under inert gas and may be kept at -80°C for up to 2 months.
