pan-Caspase inhibitor

 

Functions

Liver-targeted antiapoptotic pan-caspase inhibitor. It has been investigated as a hepatoprotective agent in the treatment of liver ischemia and  NASH/NAFLD liver injury. Emricasan protected SNB-19 cells against cell death induced by Zika virus strains MR766, FSS13025, and PRVABC59. Emricasan improves the viability of hPSCs and their differentiated progeny when used in a small molecule cocktail (CEPT) containing chroman 1, polyamines and trans-ISRIB.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to at least 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
