PI3K inhibitor (pan-Class I)

 

Functions

Inhibits Class I PI3K isoforms [e.g. p110α (IC50 = 52 nM), p110δ (IC50 = 116 nM] but not Class III or IV [e.g. Vps34, mTOR, PI4Kβ]. Blocks or pauses glioma cell cycle at G2/M depending on p53 status. At 5 mg/kg, efficiently inhibits phosphorylation of PI3K target AKT Ser473 in mouse brains. Augments chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) in lysosomes isolated from mouse liver.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 15 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
