Applications
p90 RSK inhibitor; Increases insulin expression
Functions
Inhibits p90 ribosomal S6 kinase (RSK), IC50 = 1.2, 1.5 and 2.4 μM for RSK3, RSK1 and RSK2 respectively. Induces a beta-cell-like state in pancreatic apha-cells and induces insulin expression. Increases the endocrine cell content and function of donor human pancreatic islets in culture. Blocks muscarinic acetylcholine receptor-stimulated RSK activation and subsequent proliferation of SNU-407 colon cancer cells.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 35 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
