DMEM/F-12 Medium 1X is a nutrient-rich cell culture medium formulated as a 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM) and Ham’s Nutrient Mixture F-12. It combines the high levels of amino acids, vitamins, and glucose found in DMEM with additional components such as sodium pyruvate and glutamine from Ham’s F-12, providing optimal support for mammalian cell growth.

This versatile medium is widely used for culturing a variety of cell types, including MDCK cells, glial cells, fibroblasts, chondrocytes, human epithelial cells, lung cells, endothelial cells, and rat fibroblasts. Its balanced formulation makes it suitable for routine cell culture and cell-based research applications.

DMEM/F-12 Medium 1X is supplied ready to use in 500 mL and should be stored at 2–8°C, protected from light. With a pH of 7.4 ± 0.3, it provides a stable environment for consistent and reliable cell culture performance.
