Description
Ac‑AEVD‑pNA is a colorimetric peptide substrate designed for measuring caspase activity—especially caspase‑10—that features the amino acid recognition motif Ac‑Ala‑Glu‑Val‑Asp (AEVD) linked to a p‑nitroaniline (pNA) chromophore. Upon enzymatic cleavage by caspases with specificity for AEVD sequences, free pNA is released, generating a signal detectable around 400 nm via spectrophotometry or plate readers.
