Applications

Resveratrol analog; anticancer activity

 

Functions

A naturally occurring stilbenoid related to resveratrol. Displays antiproliferative activity. Induces accumulation of autophagic vacuoles followed by cell death in HL60 cells. Displays protective effects against free radical-mediated oxidative damage. Produces anti-inflammatory effects by down-regulating the activity of TNFα. Activates AMPK.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 100 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 1 week.
