K+ channel activator

 

Functions

Activates KV7 potassium channels, indirectly antagonizes NMDA receptors and modulates GABAA receptors. Displays neuroprotective actions in a model of cerebral ischemia in mice and reduces apoptosis and necrosis induced by noxious stimuli. Analgesic activity. Active in vivo.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 40 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 4 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
