Applications

DNA hypomethylation agent

 

Functions

Specific inhibitor of DNA methyltransferase. Incorporates into DNA and covalently reacts with and inhibits DNA methyltransferases. Induces demethylation and reactivation of silenced genes. Increases stem cell reprogramming efficiency. Induces cardiac differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells by activating ERK. Induces apoptosis in multiple myeloma cells via ATR-mediated DNA double strand breaks. Cell permeable.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml), or in Water (up to 12 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or distilled water may be stored at -20° for up to 1 month.
