Potassium Kv7.2/7.3 channel activator
Functions
A KCNQ2/Q3 (Kv7.2/7.3) activator, EC50=0.38 μM (KCNQ1 IC50=15 μM). KCNQ3/Q5 heterodimers are not affected. Potently dampens neuronal excitability and displays anticonvulsant activity in vivo.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 26 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 5 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
