Mitochondria-targeted antioxidant

 

Functions

Mitochondria-targeted antioxidant.  Displays cardio- and neuroprotective effects. Displays beneficial effects in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. Protects pancreatic β-cells against oxidative stress and improves insulin secretion. Inhibits respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) production via lowering of mitochondrial ROS levels. Cell permeable.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 10 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
