Functions

Mifepristone is a cell-permeable steroid that is a potent antagonist at the progesterone and glucocorticoid receptors. It is used clinically as an abortifacient.  KD progesterone receptor = 2.6 nM and KD glucocorticoid receptor = 0.4 nM.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 40 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or Ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
