Functions

Difluoromethylornithine HCl (96020-91-6) is a selective inhibitor of ornithine decarboxylase.  Induces apoptosis in a variety of cells. Difluoromethylornithine HCl displays cancer chemopreventive activity.  Cell permeable. Active in vivo.

 

Application Procedures

First dissolved in water (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in distilled water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
